Payday
Going through college I always worried about money and how much I was spending. I worked a part-time job (at one point two) to have money to spend and use for rent. This piece speaks to the frustration of feeling like you are barely scraping by and that whenever we get paid for the work we do, it seemingly goes up in flames and burns away as soon as we get it. Payday is a collage of tiled images wheat-pasted onto a gallery wall. It sits roughly 8 ft by 10ft.
This piece could not have come to life without the help of my collaborators who helped me paste this to the wall.
